Quick Answer
If one or both earcups are not producing sound, check whether the issue only occurs when HellBlocker (ANC) is enabled. Then compare Bluetooth playback with a powered-off AUX connection, update the H1H firmware, and test another device.
Symptoms
Follow these steps if:
- There is no audio from the left or right earcup.
- There is no sound from either earcup.
- The sound becomes distorted before cutting out.
How to Troubleshoot the Audio
1. Test HellBlocker
Turn HellBlocker (ANC) off and play audio again.
- If the issue stops, note that it occurs only when HellBlocker is enabled.
- If the issue continues, proceed to the AUX test.
2. Test the AUX Connection
- Turn off your H1H headphones.
- Connect them to your device using the AUX cable.
- Play audio and check both earcups.
- Increase the volume on the connected device if necessary.
When the headphones are powered off and connected by AUX, the connected device controls the volume.
3. Update the Firmware
Use the HEAVYS App to install the latest firmware. Keep your H1H connected and the app open until the update is complete.
4. Compare Bluetooth and Wired Playback
Play the same audio through Bluetooth and the AUX cable.
| Test result | What it may indicate |
|---|---|
| Issue occurs only with Bluetooth | The wireless connection or connected device may be involved |
| Issue occurs only when HellBlocker is enabled | The problem may be related to HellBlocker |
| Issue occurs with Bluetooth and AUX | The problem may be with the headphones or audio source |
| AUX works normally while Bluetooth does not | Continue troubleshooting the Bluetooth connection |
5. Test Another Device
Connect your H1H to another phone, tablet, or computer and test both earcups again.
If the headphones work normally, check the audio and accessibility settings on the original device, including its left/right balance.
Frequently Asked Questions
Why does only one earcup have sound?
The issue could be related to HellBlocker, the connection method, the audio source, the connected device, or the headphones. Comparing HellBlocker, Bluetooth, AUX, and another device helps identify when the problem occurs.
Why is the AUX volume lower?
When your H1H is powered off and connected through AUX, adjust the volume using the connected device.
What information should I record while testing?
Note which earcup is affected and whether the problem occurs with HellBlocker, Bluetooth, AUX, or multiple devices. This will help Support diagnose the issue.
